နာမ်စား (Pronouns) ဆိုတာ နာမ်တွေကို အစားထိုးတဲ့ စကားလုံးတွေ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ I, you, he, she, it, we, they တို့က နာမ်စားတွေ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ တူညီတဲ့နာမ်ကို ထပ်ခါထပ်ခါ မပြောရဖို့ နာမ်စားကို သုံးပါတယ်။
ကတ္တားနာမ်စား (Subject Pronouns)
ကတ္တားနာမ်စားတွေက ဝါကျရဲ့ ကတ္တားနေရာမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။ I (ငါ)၊ you (နင်)၊ he (သူ)၊ she (သူမ)၊ it (အဲဒါ)၊ we (ငါတို့)၊ they (သူတို့) ဆိုပြီး ရှိပါတယ်။
I am a student.
ငါက ကျောင်းသားတစ်ယောက်ပါ။
She likes music.
သူမ ဂီတကို ကြိုက်တယ်။
They play soccer.
သူတို့ ဘောလုံးကန်တယ်။
We are friends.
ငါတို့က သူငယ်ချင်းတွေပါ။
ကံနာမ်စား (Object Pronouns)
ကံနာမ်စားတွေက ကြိယာ သို့မဟုတ် ရှေ့စာလုံး (preposition) ရဲ့ နောက်မှာ သုံးပါတယ်။ me, you, him, her, it, us, them ဆိုပြီး ရှိပါတယ်။
She likes me.
သူမ ငါ့ကို ကြိုက်တယ်။
I gave him a book.
ငါ သူ့ကို စာအုပ်တစ်အုပ် ပေးခဲ့တယ်။
Tell them the answer.
သူတို့ကို အဖြေ ပြောပါ။

မြန်မာစာနှင့် နှိုင်းယှဉ်ချက်
- ●မြန်မာစာမှာ 'ငါ' ကို ဘယ်နေရာမဆို ငါ ဟုပဲ သုံးပေမယ့်၊ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာမှာ ကတ္တားနေရာမှာ I၊ ကံနေရာမှာ me ဟု ပြောင်းသုံးရပါတယ်။
- ●မြန်မာစာတွင် 'သူ' ကို ကျား/မ မခွဲခြားပေမယ့်၊ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာမှာ he (ယောက်ျား) နဲ့ she (မိန်းမ) ခွဲခြားသုံးရပါတယ်။
