Will / Would
'Will' भविष्य, वादे और तत्काल निर्णय के लिए प्रयोग होता है। 'Would' 'will' का अधिक विनम्र रूप है और काल्पनिक स्थितियों में प्रयोग होता है। 'I will help you' (मैं तुम्हारी मदद करूँगा) vs 'Would you like some tea?' (क्या आप चाय लेंगे?)।
Will — भविष्य, वादा, तत्काल निर्णय
will + मूल क्रिया। भविष्य, वादा, प्रस्ताव, तत्काल निर्णय।
I will call you tomorrow.
मैं कल तुम्हें फ़ोन करूँगा। (भविष्य)
I will always love you.
मैं तुमसे हमेशा प्यार करूँगा। (वादा)
I'll have the dal, please.
मुझे दाल दे दीजिए। (तत्काल निर्णय)
I'll carry your bag.
मैं तुम्हारा बैग उठा लूँगा। (प्रस्ताव)
Would — विनम्र अनुरोध और प्रस्ताव
'Would you like...?' — विनम्र प्रस्ताव। 'Would you...?' — विनम्र अनुरोध।
Would you like some chai?
क्या आप चाय लेंगे?
Would you please close the door?
क्या आप कृपया दरवाज़ा बंद करेंगे?
I would like a glass of water.
मुझे एक गिलास पानी चाहिए।
Would you mind waiting?

Would — काल्पनिक और Second Conditional
If-clause (Second Conditional) में 'would' काल्पनिक परिणाम दर्शाता है।
If I were rich, I would travel the world.
अगर मैं अमीर होता, तो दुनिया घूमता।
If I had time, I would learn painting.
अगर मेरे पास समय होता, तो चित्रकारी सीखता।
She would be happy if you visited her.
अगर तुम उससे मिलने जाते, तो वह ख़ुश होती।
Would — पुरानी आदत
'would' पुरानी आदतों (past habits) के लिए भी प्रयोग होता है (used to जैसा)।
When I was a child, I would play in the rain.
जब मैं बच्चा था, बारिश में खेलता था।
My grandmother would tell us stories every night.
मेरी दादी हर रात हमें कहानियाँ सुनाती थीं।
हिन्दी और अंग्रेज़ी में अंतर
- ●हिंदी में '-गा / -गी / -गे' (करूँगा, जाएगी) अंग्रेज़ी के 'will' से मेल खाता है।
- ●Would you like...? = 'क्या आप...लेंगे?' — हिंदी में भी विनम्र रूप अलग होते हैं।

अगणनीय (tea) → some tea। 'a tea' तकनीकी रूप से ग़लत (लेकिन बोलचाल में स्वीकार्य)।
