had better 'చేయడం మంచిది' (should కంటే బలమైన సలహా, చేయకపోతే చెడు జరుగుతుంది). need 'అవసరం' (have to కి దగ్గర). 'నువ్వు ఇప్పుడు బయలుదేరడం మంచిది, లేకపోతే ఆలస్యం' = 'You had better leave now.'

had better + V (to లేకుండా): బలమైన సలహా (హెచ్చరిక). need to + V: అవసరం. needn't + V = అవసరం లేదు.
