Past Perfect Tense
గత పూర్ణ కాలం గతంలో ఒక సంఘటన కంటే ముందు జరిగిన మరో సంఘటనను చెప్పడానికి వాడతారు. 'అతను వచ్చేసరికి నేను ఇప్పటికే భోజనం చేశాను' — భోజనం చేయడం ముందు, అతను రావడం తర్వాత. had + V3 (past participle) నమూనాలో ఉంటుంది.

అన్ని కర్తలకు had ఒకేలా. V3 = past participle. గతంలో రెండు సంఘటనలు ఉన్నప్పుడు, ముందు జరిగింది = had + V3, తర్వాత జరిగింది = simple past.

before, after, by the time, when, already, never, just వంటి పదాలు గత పూర్ణంతో తరచుగా వస్తాయి.
తెలుగు మరియు ఆంగ్లం తేడాలు
- ●తెలుగులో '-ఉన్నాను' (completed action in past) = had + V3. 'నేను ఇప్పటికే తిన్నాను' = 'I had already eaten'.
- ●తెలుగులో 'వచ్చేసరికి' = 'by the time he arrived'. '-సరికి' = by the time / when.
- ●తెలుగులో సమయ క్రమం పదాల ద్వారా స్పష్టం. ఆంగ్లంలో had + V3 vs V-ed ద్వారా చెప్తారు.
- ●ఆంగ్ల గత పూర్ణం = గతం కంటే ముందు గతం. తెలుగులో ఈ తేడాను '-ఉన్నాను' vs '-ను' ద్వారా చెప్తారు.
Common Mistakes
I had ate dinner before he came.
I had eaten dinner before he came.
had తర్వాత V3 (past participle) రావాలి. ate (V2) కాదు, eaten (V3).
