Imperative Sentences
Imperative Sentences (आदेशात्मक वाक्य) का प्रयोग आदेश, अनुरोध, सलाह और निर्देश देने के लिए किया जाता है। इन वाक्यों में कर्ता (subject) नहीं होता — सीधे क्रिया से शुरू होते हैं। 'Open the door' (दरवाज़ा खोलो), 'Please sit down' (कृपया बैठिए)। हिंदी में भी आदेशात्मक वाक्य कर्ता के बिना बनते हैं।
मूल संरचना
Imperative वाक्य मूल क्रिया (base form) से शुरू होते हैं। कर्ता (You) छिपा होता है।
Open the window.
खिड़की खोलो।
Sit down, please.
कृपया बैठिए।
Listen carefully.
ध्यान से सुनो।
Turn off the lights.
बत्तियाँ बंद करो।
नकारात्मक आदेश (Don't + क्रिया)
मना करने या रोकने के लिए 'Don't' + मूल क्रिया का प्रयोग होता है।
Don't run in the hall.
हॉल में मत दौड़ो।
Don't touch that!
उसे मत छुओ!
Don't be late.
देर मत करो।
Don't forget your homework.
अपना होमवर्क मत भूलो।
विनम्र अनुरोध
'Please' जोड़कर या 'Let's' का प्रयोग करके आदेश को विनम्र बनाया जाता है।
Please close the door.
कृपया दरवाज़ा बंद करें।
Let's go to the park.
चलो पार्क चलते हैं।
Let's eat lunch together.
चलो साथ में दोपहर का खाना खाते हैं।
Please help me with this.
कृपया इसमें मेरी मदद करें।
Let's = Let us — 'चलो हम सब मिलकर...' का भाव
दैनिक जीवन में आदेशात्मक वाक्य
कक्षा, घर और सड़क पर आदेशात्मक वाक्य बहुत सामान्य हैं।
Stand in a line.
कतार में खड़े हो जाओ।
Wash your hands before eating.
खाने से पहले हाथ धोओ।
Be quiet in the library.
पुस्तकालय में चुप रहो।
Take your shoes off at the door.
दरवाज़े पर जूते उतारो।
हिन्दी और अंग्रेज़ी में अंतर
- ●हिंदी और अंग्रेज़ी दोनों में आदेशात्मक वाक्य बिना कर्ता के बनते हैं: 'बैठो' = 'Sit down'।
- ●लेकिन हिंदी में आदर-सूचक रूप अलग होते हैं (बैठो/बैठिए/बैठें), जबकि अंग्रेज़ी में 'Sit down' + 'please' से विनम्रता दर्शाते हैं।
