Tag Questions
Tag Questions वाक्य के अंत में लगने वाले छोटे प्रश्न हैं जो पुष्टि माँगते हैं — 'You like chai, don't you?' (तुम्हें चाय पसंद है, है ना?)। हिंदी में 'है ना?', 'है कि नहीं?', 'ना?' का प्रयोग होता है। अंग्रेज़ी में tag प्रत्येक वाक्य के अनुसार बदलता है।
मूल नियम: सकारात्मक → नकारात्मक tag, और उलटा
वाक्य सकारात्मक है → tag नकारात्मक। वाक्य नकारात्मक → tag सकारात्मक।

She is a doctor, isn't she?

They don't eat meat, do they?

Tag वाक्य की सहायक क्रिया पर निर्भर करता है।
You can swim, can't you?
तुम तैर सकते हो, है ना?
They have finished, haven't they?
उन्होंने पूरा कर लिया, है ना?
She will come, won't she?
वह आएगी, है ना?
He plays well, doesn't he?
वह अच्छा खेलता है, है ना?
विशेष मामले
I am → aren't I?, Let's → shall we?, Imperative → will you?
I am right, aren't I?
मैं सही हूँ, है ना?
Let's go, shall we?
चलो चलते हैं, चलें?
Open the door, will you?
दरवाज़ा खोलो, खोलोगे?
Don't be late, will you?

हिन्दी और अंग्रेज़ी में अंतर
- ●हिंदी में 'है ना?', 'ना?', 'है कि नहीं?' सभी वाक्यों के लिए काम करता है।
- ●अंग्रेज़ी में प्रत्येक वाक्य के अनुसार tag बदलता है (isn't she? / don't they? / won't he?)।
- ●यह हिंदी से काफ़ी अलग और जटिल है।
Common Mistakes

Tag का सर्वनाम वाक्य के कर्ता से मेल खाना चाहिए: She → she।
You are a student, are you?
You are a student, aren't you?
सकारात्मक वाक्य → नकारात्मक tag (aren't you)।
