ငြင်းဆိုဝါကျ (negative sentences) ဆိုသည်မှာ "...မဟုတ်ပါ" သို့မဟုတ် "...မလုပ်ပါ" ဟု ပြောသော ဝါကျများ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ မြန်မာစာတွင် "မ...ဘူး" ကို သုံးသကဲ့သို့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာတွင် not ကို သုံးပါတယ်။ be ကြိယာ ငြင်းဆိုခြင်းနှင့် အထွေထွေကြိယာ ငြင်းဆိုခြင်း ပုံစံ ကွာခြားပါတယ်။
be ကြိယာ ငြင်းဆိုခြင်း (am not / is not / are not)
be ကြိယာ (am/is/are) ဖြင့် ငြင်းဆိုရာတွင် ကြိယာနောက်တွင် not ထည့်ပါတယ်။ အတိုကောက် isn't, aren't ကိုလည်း သုံးနိုင်ပါတယ်။ I am not ၏ အတိုကောက်မှာ I'm not ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
