မေးခွန်းဝါကျ (question sentences) ဆိုသည်မှာ "...လား?" ဟု မေးသော ဝါကျများ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာတွင် မေးခွန်းမေးရာ၌ စာလုံးအစီအစဉ်ကို ပြောင်းရပါတယ်။ "Yes" သို့မဟုတ် "No" နှင့် ဖြေနိုင်သော မေးခွန်းကို Yes/No question ဟု ခေါ်ပါတယ်။ မြန်မာစာတွင် "လား" ထည့်ရုံဖြင့် မေးခွန်းဖြစ်သော်လည်း အင်္ဂလိပ်စာတွင် ကြိယာနှင့် ကတ္တား ၏ နေရာ ပြောင်းရပါတယ်။

be ကြိယာမဟုတ်သော ကြိယာများဖြင့် မေးခွန်းမေးရာတွင် Do သို့မဟုတ် Does ကို ဝါကျအစတွင် ထည့်ပါတယ်။ He/She/It ဆိုရင် Does သုံးပြီး ကျန်ကတ္တားများဆိုရင် Do သုံးပါတယ်။ Does သုံးရင် ကြိယာကို ပုံမှန်ပုံစံ ပြန်သုံးရပါတယ်။
